"At the end of May 2006 having tired of having nothing to wear, because clothes don't fit, and having almost constant pain in my shoulder and hip, I decided to take matters into my own hands and joined RESULTS for Fitness and Performance Training. A few years prior I had injured my hip by running/jogging, ironically, trying to stay in shape. Then I fell from a ladder and injured my right shoulder. Being right handed it was difficult to live with the pain in my shoulder. I tried chiropractors, orthopedic doctors and physical therapy for both my shoulder and hip and found temporary relief but overall the discomfort continued to nag me. Otherwise, at the age of 52, I was in good health, a little overweight and figured that I was too young to be debilitated by pain. Knowing that every joint is surrounded by muscles, I figured that strengthening them might help my ability to move more freely.Having had personal trainers before, I was not sure that this was the right way to go because in my experience not all personal trainers take the time to get to know your body and its nuances. However, figuring that I might lose a few pounds in the process, I tentatively and hopefully, entered RESULTS looking for an answer.By July the compliments started and the pain diminished. My personal trainer, took his time to explain things about my body that I never knew. He started by massaging pressure points, teaching me how to stretch and having me lift light weights. I began to feel lighter not because I lost any weight but because my posture was straighter, my limbs more flexible and I was beginning to have days without any pain. Friends that I hadn't seen in a while would say, "Wow, you look great. How much weight have you lost?" I would thank them and politely say that I haven't lost a pound while I smiled smugly about my secret.Now four months after joining, the compliments keep coming but I've decided that RESULTS should no longer be my secret. The professionalism and competency with which RESULTS trainers conduct themselves goes unsurpassed.
